Vanessa Lomena joins The Alvarez Team at Puerto Rico Sotheby's International Realty with esteemed realtor Monica Alvarez at its helm, in 2022. Vanessa has positioned herself in this role to offer her clients the most up-to-date, globally relevant information in order to educate them in everything the island has to offer. From diversified lifestyle neighborhoods, colonial and historically prevent districts, or off the grid compounds, Vanessa through The Alvarez Team has access to the islands most unique and life inspired locations, for her clients. Specializing in first homes for millennials, relocation, and international investors from Europe, Vanessa is multi faceted in her experience. Vanessa is driven and enthusiastic in serving her client’s and teams needs with all aspects of the real estate process, both on Island and abroad.

Graduating University with a bachelor’s degree in Humanities, followed by a graduate degree in Management and Direction of Hospitality Business, has given Vanessa the skill and know-how to leverage her person to person relationships with professionalism and integrity. It was her experience interning at luxury resorts as well as the influence of her family who have been involved in the island’s development for 3 generations, that ultimately propelled her into a career in real estate. Spending eight years abroad in Spain, studying and working in various sales and marketing roles, Vanessa returned to her home of Puerto Rico surprised and invigorated to see how much it had changed. This transformation along with the changes 2020-2021 brought throughout the world, solidified her decision to move back to her beautiful island and pursue her true passion of real estate.

Perseverance and resilience are two words her peers, colleagues, and customers would use to describe her innate drive to give her clients the best white glove, concierge service she can provide when pursuing their real estate goals. An excellent communicator, Vanessa’s forte is making sure her clients feel fulfilled and heard throughout the entire process. Always one to lend her knowledge of the market, Vanessa makes sure to keep her clients in tune with the latest marketing technology as well as the best practices when marketing or transacting the purchase or sale of a property.

When she’s not working hard for her clients, Vanessa pursues a number of interests like getting lost in the majesty of art museums, a favorite of hers being the Museo del Prado, viewing the unique, diversified and historied architecture the island provides, and spending time whether on horseback or on foot, in the tropical paradise that has held her captivated ever since she was young. Vanessa is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese.
